In this 3-piece set, the mixer tilter (the bent sheet of metal) has smudges that either came from handling the tilter with bare hands or were there from the start as part of the factory finish. The tilter also has scratches that aren't deep but that you can still feel if you run a finger over them. The bowl that attaches to your mixer (the bowl with the projection coming out of the back) has scratches a bit deeper than the ones on the tilter. It also has spots on its interior -- likely water marks -- as well as nick-sized dents, plus fingerprints on exterior. The bowl with the center hole is in better shape than the other two parts. This bowl has only fingerprints, water marks, and scratches (if they can be called such) on interior that are so shallow, they've merely taken off the satin finish.
