It stores water and that tends to harbor mold. we bought based on recommendations like this. for its intended purpose it works quite well. However if you put it in standing water or a dishwasher it will get water inside and it slowly gurgles out over time. I drilled holes in the handle to vent it but its still annoying. It also hard to get the die holder out if you have any sort of motor or hand strength issue.
