American Made built to last I use this same exact model in the bakery where I work at a very busy well known Chicagoland grocery store. I was hired as a teenager back in 1987. This model is still our one and only main bread slicer. Its excellent American Quality craftsmanship and built to last. Made in the USA. Its now 2025 so Ive been slicing Bread on this particular model for 38 years. Our grocery store opened in 1977 so I suspect our Berkel bread slicer that Im using is actually 48 years old or older and still going strong. Throughout the years we have done some routine maintenance blades sharpened and or replaced and the power cord got replaced once. The crumb catcher front face and knob will sometimes get Loose as the years go by so just take a small wrench and tighten those nuts and bolts holding it onto the crumb tray. Other than this minimal routine maintenance this bread slicer could probably go another 48 years Lol128517; Im serious. Nothing digital or computer on this model. Just good old fashioned manual well-built machine. We never have a problem with this tabletop model. I love it.
