Works well, but cleaning is unwieldy This guitar had the desired effect of cutting my dough evenly, but I have just replaced portioning time with cleaning time. To clean it, you must take off the bolts and screw that holds all of the plastic slats in place and clean them individually. Putting it back together takes a lot of effort and careful handling of the slats and screw.

Ganache Mini Guitar Cutter Very well built and sturdy. Easy to clean.

Solid machine is some trouble to clean Easy enough to use, a nice compact size, solid construction, but a bother to clean considering the plastic parts are not dish-washer safe. It's actually quite EASY to clean - the bother is that you have a zillion plastic plates which make up the base and need somewhere to dry... also, there are a zillion of them, no matter how easy to clean they are.

That said, the machine works fine cutting soft material. It gave me a bit of resistance going through a layer of tempered dark chocolate but when I pushed hard it cut just fine.

This is my first guitar and I have only used it once so far, so I can not speak comparatively with regards to how well this one stands up to others.

Mine arrived in manufacturer's packaging which was in my opinion substandard but there was no damage to the machine, so I guess it was packed well *enough*. Mine came with spare wire, tools, a transfer plate and pusher - but no manual. Note to future customers: there is a protective film on some of the metal parts which should be removed prior to use.

My contact at Kerekes (Rachel Perl) was very helpful throughout the whole process. High marks for customer service, answering all my questions promptly and emailing a PDF of the operator manual for me ASAP.
