Description
Sanding Sugar
Sanding sugar is superior to colored granulated sugar in two ways.
- Because granulated sugar is finer, it doesn't glitter under light and wouldn't improve the look of your cookies. But Sanding sugar is coarse and does catches light and sparkle.
- Since granulated sugar dissolves in water too fast, it wouldn't retain its form of grains on your pastry. But sanding sugar dissolves slower and keeps its grain form even when wet--though turning sticky to stay on your cookie and not fall off.

Great product
This is a good sanding sugar, for topping pie crusts, cookies, anything where you want that extra crunch, as this sugar does not melt like granulated sugar
